This page defines the Privacy Policy for non-member users (PUBLIC USERS) of the www.FWAAR.com web site (THE SITE), owned and operated by the Fort Wayne Area Association of REALTORS®, Inc. (FWAAR).

FWAAR is is committed to protecting the privacy and confidential information of the members and users of THE SITE. This privacy policy discloses the types of information collected (if any), and the restrictions on the dissemination of that information by THE SITE. Any changes to the privacy policy are effective upon posting to THE SITE. This privacy policy pertains only to PUBLIC USERS of THE SITE. Because Members of FWAAR and FWAMLS fall under a different category of FWAAR's privacy practices, FWAAR has created a separate privacy policy effective for FWAAR/FWAMLS Members. 

No Information Collected from PUBLIC USERS:

FWAAR collects no personally-identifiable information from PUBLIC USERS of THE SITE. Therefore, there is no possibility of sharing said information with any third party, since no information is collected. In the event a PUBLIC USER contacts a FWAAR staff member via e-mail, any personal information about said PUBLIC USER will not be disseminated or sold to any third party. This information will only be used to respond to the sender as needed, unless other requests are made by the sender.

Sellers Who List Their Property with a REALTOR®:

For those sellers who contract with a listing firm to market and promote the sale of their home, if said chosen firm is a member of the Fort Wayne Area Multiple Listing Service (FWAMLS), then said listing is automatically promoted publicly on the national real estate web portal, Realtor.com, as well as any Broker IDX web sites, unless the seller opts to withhold their property listing from public Internet display. (Broker IDX web sites are publicly-viewable web sites managed by REALTOR offices who participate in a multiple listing service, and who offer on said web site a public search of MLS IDX listings. The set of IDX, or Internet Data Exchange, listings, is a sub-set of an MLS's listings; which includes only the listings of those offices who have chosen to participate in the MLS's IDX program. In the FWAMLS, there is over 99% IDX broker participation). As also specified in the MLS Exclusive Listing Agreement, said property listing as described by the seller is entered by the authorized listing agent or support staff member into the private FWAMLS system. FWAMLS listing information is considered privileged and confidential, and as such the FWAMLS system is only made available to authorized FWAMLS Subscribers via a username and password. Under no condition does FWAAR or FWAMLS share property seller contact information with other PUBLIC USERS; this and any other information deemed to be confidential is only made available to the Members of the FWAMLS.
